I am researching family histories of Linck and Frauenfelders, including Emil Felder of Warren, PA. The only information I have on Emil is from Ancestry and Family Search. This includes birth, residences, marriage, children, death. I wish to know more history on Philip and Lizzie Frauenfelder, the parents of Emil. In particular, what town in Alsace they emigrated from and their birth dates, birth places, and death dates.

I'm also trying to sort out the Felders in the 1880's. My Great Grand Parents was Jonas Felder estimate D.O.B. 1830's from South Carolina and Wife Althia Felder estimate D.O.B. 1840 from Mississippi. Jonas & Althia Felder Kids are listed below:

1. Nathan Felder estimate D.O.B 1862
2. James Felder estimate D.O.B 1868
3. Ed Felder estimate D.O.B. 1869
4. Bettie Felder estimate D.O.B 1874 (my Grandmother)
5. Jonas Felder estimate D.O.B 1877

7. Lucinda Felder estimate D.O.B 1879

My birthplace is Brenham, Tx. D.O.B 1949. I understand that a large number of Felder's move to Washington, County as farm laborers. What is the connection if any with the Raysor's and the Felder's in your family. This is one of the most complex mission to acheive.

Hi, Geraldine! I am researching the family of Russell Felder (1877-1918) and Jalura Glover (1877-1916) whom I initially found in Elloree, Orangeburg, South Carolina; I don't know where they may have lived previously. Their children were: Oneitha (1898); Samuel (1900); Isaiah (1901); Dinah (1904); Russell, Jr. (1905); Foraker (1907); Nancy (1909); and Lillian (1912).

Several of Russell's children migrated to New York [they are on the 1930 federal census living in Brooklyn, Kings, New York] accompanied by their brother William Felder (1919), whose mother is unknown.

Russell Felder's other spouse Isabella/Isabelle Felder is enumerated on the 1940 federal census living with a son, Joseph E Felder (1918).

If you have any information on any members of this Felder family, I would appreciate it if you would share that information with me. Thank you.

Thank you very much. I, too, am looking for people who are serious about collaborating in an effort that, it seems to me, should give everyone the best of both worlds: more results and more accurate information.

Even though my family tree is private, I will share whatever information I have on your great, great grandfather Charles Edwards [who, coincidentally, is also my daughter's great, great grandfather on her father's side]. Another pair of eyes will certainly help me in determining whether the information I am coming across is indeed relevant to Charles Edwards and his descendants.

Despite my tree here on Ancestry.com being private, I have no problem sharing the information from it with others. However, I cannot guarantee the accuracy of that information unless I have others closer to his family line verify it for me.

My reluctance to go further here on a public board is mainly guided by the fact that many of the individuals are still living. That is why I asked to be contacted by e-mail so I can share more with you. CFelderAMSC is a frequent poster to this board whom I have had the pleasure of making contact with. Hopefully, his background knowledge of Felders in Elloree, South Carolina will also help me to fill in some of my dashes.

Since I do have some black Felder's and there is a Black church on Felderfille Road today.

If you could get in touch with some of them their early families might be able to help you with your Russell Felde, Jr.

I have check my master file for Russell Felder, Sr. and Jr.

What would help me help you is to give me the person you are talking about First Middle Last name along with all the dates and places you talk about.
I have over 200,000 names and it is hard to impossible to find a name like Samuel, Nieva I do not have a Caroline Rembert.

I am sure if your Felder family came form Felderville, South Carolina there should be some connection some how.

Look at the slave list and come up with the owner of the plantation and his slaves name and let see what we can find out.

Do you know if any of your family was from a white woman are a white man? Things like that happen and I have heard of such a situation.

Rev Charles Edwards was my great grandfather and married to Losine Council who was my mother's mother. Their daughter Orethea Edwards was my grandmother she passed away a few years ago in Norfolk Virginia. My grandmother Oretha Edwards had about 12 children . I knew he was married prior to Losine because of the age difference I just had no idea who his first wife was.
However, It is a mystery to me about my great great grandfather who I am very much interested in finding out about. You stated one of his grandsons was married to a Felder which grandson and who was the Felder

I do have some some black Felder's but I can't find much about them.
I have connected only a few black Felder's to the families before the Civil War.

Hi, msydjames. I am researching the family of Russell Felder of Elloree, Orangeburg, South Carolina. So far, I have not been able to get back beyond Russell Felder's birth in 1877.

Russell Felder married Gelura Glover and their children were: Russell Jr., Neither, Foracor, Isaiah, Samuel, Nancy, and Dinah. Russell Felder also had another son, William Felder, whose mother is unknown [William was born after Gelura died]. His third wife was Isabelle/Isabella [nee Felder] who had a son, Joseph E.

If this is the Felder family you are researching, please let me know.

Albery Brooks Carmichael and Lula Belle Carter Carmichael were my grandparents. I am the daughter of Sherman Fryar Carmichiel (he spelled his name differently.) Sherman married my mother, Evelyn Lucille Pierce of Riviera Beach, Florida. He died in 2002 in Florida. Mom is still living in Lake Worth, Florida. They had four children, James Robert Carmichiel, Donald Leon Carmichiel, Brenda Lucille Carmichiel Caldwell and Virginia Kay Carmichiel (Matthews).

Regarding Carter Brooks Carmichael, we called him "Uncle Brooks." He served in WW2 and was a prisoner in the Bataan Death March. Due to injuries he sustained as a POW, he spent many years in a series of VA hospitals in Texas and Oklahoma until his death in the 1990s, I believe.

I would love to hear from any of my long lost relatives, especial Luanna Gray (daughter of Dalton Carmichael (son of Albery Brooks Carmichael by his first wife).

Judge Gabriel Felder (1797-1868) & previous wife = Ann Waite

Has anyone traced Ann Waite's lineage? [Waite is spelled many different ways.]

I am tracking WAITE's and have a particular interest in finding out who Ann's parents and grandparents were.

In 1850, Ann (53) & Gabriel (53) live in Scott Co., MS with their son, "ADLEY" = Adlai and a Wm H. Wait(e) (45) whom I believe is brother to Ann(?)

There is also an Edmund Waite who may be another Waite sibling(?) Edmund and Wm. H. Waite were both in Wilcox Co., AL in 1840 close together on the census and then close together again on the 1850 Scott Co., MS Census. Edmund is listed as 50 yrs old on the 1850 Scott Co., MS Census.

Therefore, it seems likely the following are WAITE siblings:
ANN b abt 1797 SC d 19 Oct 1863, Washington Co.?,TX
m bef 1823 Mississippi to Gabriel Felder

EDMUND b abt 1800 SC
d posted by some as 1861 ,Scott Co.,MS

Also, as interesting and successful as Judge GABRIEL FELDER was, I cannot locate a burial for him or either wife. Does anyone have that information?

Does anyone know when WHEN/WHERE Gabriel married Ann Waite?

One last item: If Gabriel is "the" VERY EARLY Gabriel Felder in Mississippi, might he have married prior to marrying Ann Waite?

If anyone can direct me to additional information on Ann Waite, wife of Judge Gabriel FELDER, I would be very grateful.

Just a few helpful recommendation. I'm also a relative of the Felder's. My Grantgrandfather was also born in S.C. in the 1830's and move to Washington, County Texas. My gggrandfather Jonas Felder all with hundred of other Felder's move to Texas to presue the american dream. I'm sure you will find some more information in Texas. Washington County is my birthplace. I will be glad to work together to put this Felder puzzle together. I have a great amount of information to share.
After all we could be related. Gabe Felder was born in Africa. His wife B. Felder was born in MS. Gabe and wife had (8) kids born in Texas.

I'm also during some research on my Felder's relatives. It was noted that the name Abe Felder appeared during my research in Brenham, Texas. A number of Felder's move to Washington, Texas to work as farmers. My GGrandpa was name Jonas Felder born in S.C. in 1830 and wife Althia Felder born in Mississippi in 1840. Both move to Texas. At the end we could find out that we all are connected.

Jonas & Althia Felder had serval kids to include my grandmother Betty (Felder) Drake. She were born in Brenham, Texas. I to was born in Brenham, Texas. Any information would be helpful. Special Note Althia Felder was identity by race as a Mulato.

Thanks for all of the assistance you have provide to trace my relatives. I have given you all of the information I have on my relatives. In addition I have added you as a guess to my family tree. My family tree have all of the information I know and have pertaining to my relatives. I only new my Grandmother Betty (Felder) Drake because she lived with my aunt prior to her death in 1966.

Lucinda Felder was married to Tobe Felder. Tobe and Lucinda had several kids. Some of their grandkids still live in Brenham, Texas. (see my family tree for detail).The majority of the information was found on Ancestry.Com and court record in Brenham,Texas.

I think the Alvie Felder Jr. that I just started researching is a brother to your Bessie. They were in Amite County, MS in 1920 census.

Father: Alvie Sr.
Mother: Ellie
daughter: Laraline
daughter: Bessie was 10yrs in this census
son: Alvie Jr.
son: Russel
daughter: Christine

I've found that there are lots of Felders in SC, I don't know if all of the Black Felders share our DNA but I wouldn't be surprised b/c of the claim that Aunt Lizzie's father had 19 children. There needs to be some changes in the life of Lulu Belle Carter married to Alberry Brooks Carmichael not Carter Brooks. Carter Brooks was their son. Sherman, James A.B. son from previous marriage) and Carter Brooks were the sons of A.B. Carmichael. There were also three daughters one of them being Charlene Carmichael Haufpauir. There were two other daughters one lived in Colorado City, Texas and the last lived in Oklahoma City. OK.
