Paul Kemper,

I am searching for children and grandchildren from my biological grandfather, Paul Kemper who moved from Essen, Germany to, I have been told; canada in 1954 and here married and had 6 girls, that I know of, went back to Germany to divorce my grandmother (Liselotte/Lilo Mathar?) and left the six girls in Germany after the trial, and his wife, but she came soon to america where he now had settled more or less..
I don't know anything other than that girls were living for quite some time with Paul Kemper's sister...
Paul Kemper is my father's biological father. My father was Ralph Mathar. A fantastic father and Thorax surgeon. he died last spring and I need to know the rest of the story that my family could not give me, though they tried.. Anybody have any suggestions where to go from here?
Best wishes Mia Birk Mathar

Hi. The Records for St. Johannis in Alfhausen, Germany have all been scanned and indexed by Siegfried Smid. I currently assist the Smid family in the sale of the DVD here in the USA. They (the scans) are available on a data DVD for a very reasonable price... they come on the DVDas jpeg files or as pdf files. They pdf files are much easier to use especially when zooming. Here's a link to the web page for info on the DVD: http://www.sjsmid.nl/

Dan Jungclas dan@jungclas.com

His birth record says he was born in OH, not sure where. He died in CA....he was put to death for murder....you can research that and find pics and news stories online.

Anyone know anything more. I'd love to get his parents names. He was my grandfather. He had my mother 4 years before he was put to death....so, obviously, there's not much of an emotional connection here. I've searched the web and pull up nothing.

Ich empfehle die Internetseite www.stenvorde.de zu lesen. Dort gibt es eine Auswanderungsliste und Taufregister, worin Ihr auch diese Feldkakps findet.

I wondered if anyone knew why she was interested in this particularly rare (in the US) fruit? Her work remains to this day one of the best references for mangosteen research.

I have information with the names you mentioned Ulrick, Peteorka and the others. My information as to when they came to the U.S. differs somewhat from 1830. I have them coming in the late 1860's. They were all from Solburg, Osterfriesland. Fr. Feldkamp was Bergmeister of Leer and started building a windmill. It looks like the families are connected though. Let me know if the info. I have can help you.
