Okay, thanks. The Irving Fellows I was looking for was born Oct 1848 in NY. Hmmm. the 1900 census shows he and his wife married about 1875.

Considering that fact....Could yours perchance be an offspring, or othrwise related? I only have found them in 1900 and 1910, Syracuse Ward 13, Onondaga, New York - both enumerations which leaves them livng alone and any children would have been gone then.... I don't know re geographic proximity, and where Truxton is - or where your Irving may have been born?

If you have any info, or ideas, by all means do let me know. I appreciated your response......who knows? Likewise will gladly share anything I may find, or stumble across. Thanks! :)

Thanks so much. My address is P. Bean @ 37 Staniford Rd, Burlington, VT 05408. Issac Astley Fellows' daughter was my gr. grandmother on my dad's side. I have a copy of the names and dates of birth from the bible that I heard was sent to Canada family decades ago. I know that my gr. grandmother's name was Maude and that she was related to Rhodes (scholarship) and also there were ties to someone who had diamond mines in Africa. Much of the history was lost when my gr mother (Flora nee Campbell Masch) passed. I do know that they called Cecil Rhodes (the good dr.), in a letter that was sent to my gr grandmother from her dad. I have the original letter. I also have a copy of the last will and testiment and the Fellows family were quite well to do with real estate in England. My gr grandmother's two sisters came to the US and remained as "old maids" and lived in Delaware.

Re: Seeking Info on James Fellows

The people you seek are included in the marriages of descendants of Col. Josiah Edson. I have seen these names in a Gedcom at Family Tree Maker site in family home pages. I believe these families come from VT/NH and some migrate to Central NY; some even to Canada. My relatives end up in Michigan. There is a large Fellows family in Detroit.

Go to FTM site, and type your James Fellows in the search, and see what comes up; if nothing- you'll have to follow the Edson line. There are several Fellows marriages there to descendants of the Stevens/Stephens families.
This is the line I'm following:
The marriage we have that connects with Stephens is by Harriet Parker, daughter of Benj. b. 1817 and Mary Parker, 1828, of Royal Oak, Mich.:
Harriett married Erastus Wells in Oakland County, Mich., the son of Joseph R. Wells and Sophronia Stevens. Sophronia was daughter of Altana Fellows and Henry Stevens.
Altana Fellows was daughter of David Fellows and Esther Tucker.

I hope this helps you. Let me know if I can help you find them, but I did get this address; it was as far as I had read in this Gedcom:
http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/s/t/e/William-Lac...
Looking for siblings or parents of Mary Ann FELLOWS who was born in New Hampshire circa 1818 and married in Hancock County, IL in 1841 to George BACKSTER/BAXTER. They settled in Muscatine County, IL by 1850 and Mary Ann apparently died there between 1870 and 1880, at which time George is listed with a different wife. A Joseph FELLOWS appears in the 1840 census of Hancock County, IL - who was he? He is the only candidate I have found as a possible parent to Mary Ann.

Thanks!

John Fellows and Hannah Ostrom marriage--late 1700's early 1800's

Josiah Bradley married Rebecca Fellows June 1841 in West Amboy, Oswego County, NY. Per the family bible Rebecca Fellows was born in January 12, 1816 in Rock Charleston, NY. I have not been able to locate this place.

Family Search.org has an IGI listing for Rebecca stating her parents were John Fellows and Hannah Ostrom. I have not found any documentation so far.

Would like to obtain information about John Fellows and Hannah Ostrom. Do any Fellows researchers have a Hannah Ostrom who married a John Fellows?

Martha Fellows Oliver, d/o James and Parthena Fellows

I am looking for any info on Martha Fellows, d/o James and Parthena Fellows. She married Nathaniel G. Oliver in Stokes County NC in Jan. 1873. Their children were William (aka Bunk), Joseph, and Sallie. They were all born in North Carolina. The family moved to Virginia around 1892. I have other last names for Martha, but since the marriage license I found gives her name as Fellows, its the one I am concentrating on although some family members are sure it is Hensley. Does anyone know for sure?

This fellows family in relation to Ephraim Fellows?

Hi,
I am wondering this is the fellows line that is related to Ephraim fellows. I am a (bloodline) great great grandchild of him. My grandfather is Robert Bowen and his mom was married to Ephraims son (cant remember the name-think it was Abeil). Anyways the family broke off due to his wife leaving him with her 2 children a daughter and a son-my grandfather. I was just hoping to connect to those in the fellows line, I guess.

I am researching the Fellows/Oakley families, in and around Gornal/Sedgley areas. I have a Daniel Fellows married to a Mary Parkes/Parker St Mary's Kingswinford 1789. I know of two of their children Rachel born 1794 & Edward born 1798. Would be interested to know of any other children.
Edward married Elizabeth Baker at All Saints about 1817 & had eight children. Caroline, Joseph, Honor, Edward, John, Samuel,Mary and another Joseph (could have been a grandson)
Joseph & Samuel moved to Featherstone in Yorkshire with their families & Edward to Yorkshire and then Nottingham. John stayed in Gornal/Sedgley area. Would like information on him.
Honor never married but had three illegitimate children by different fathers. Mathilda who married Joshua Beddoes (father William Nichols) Daniel who married Ann Oakley (parents Thomas & Mary) & Caroline (father unknown). I'm interested in finding out what happened to Caroline born 1852 as she disappeared.

A general idea of the year of her birth
would help too.
I can try to help you figure it out but more information is needed.

I've attached a few of the military registrations of a few of these boys to see if anything seems familiar.

Without that there's not much information anyone can give you.
Hi Kevin,
I also am trying to find information on the Fellows line. They were living in Walsall in 1891. I know that my gg grandmother was Sarah Ann Fellows b 1835 in Bilston according to the 1901 census. She had a daughter Maria and I believe a daughter Charlotte. Maria married John Thomas Blewitt. Both John and Maria died within a week of each other in 1890 leaving three children, Harry and my grandmother Florence May and Ethel. Would love to hear from you. Elaine

ORMAL, ORAMEL OR ORIMAL & ALLEN FELLOWS

IN THE MUDGE/FELLOWS FAMILY PLOT IN FRESNO, CA, THERE IS AN ORMAL FELLOWS, WHO, ACCORDING TO I.O.O.F. CEMETERY OFFICIALS, WAS BURIED IN 1911. FRESNO COUNTY CAN FIND NO RECORD OF HIS DEATH, SO WE BELIEVE HE WAS BROUGHT IN FROM ANOTHER JURISDICTION. THIS PERSON IS NOT THE SON OF HENRY AND MELISSA LAMBSON FELLOWS. THEIR SON, ORIMAL, ON HIS DEATH CERTIFICATE, DIED IN 1930 AND IS BURIED IN HOLY CROSS CEMETERY, FRESNO.
WOULD ALSO LIKE INFORMATION ON ALLEN FELLOWS, B. 6-29-1866 IN MICHIGAN, TO HENRY & MELISSA. I CAN FIND NO RECORD OF HIM AFTER THE 1880 CENSUS.
WOULD BE HAPPY TO SHARE ANYTHING I HAVE WITH ANYONE.
