Hello - I hope you are still out there, because all of what you wrote here does ring a bell for me!
Here's what I think I know. Augusta Stolzenberger married Adam Vierling in 1866 in Eisenbach, Germany. The arrived in the U.S. in 1869 - I actually found their record in the New York Passsenger lists. Then I found them in the 1900 census in Brooklyn (they were in their 60s then) - their children were Michael, Annie, Edward, Charles, and Louis. Of course I would love to have whatever info you have about them (the children) as all I have is their birth date.
I got all this info as a result of searching for Adam Vierling's sister: Mary or Magdalena Vierling, born 1846 (or 49), arrived U.S. in 1866 with sister "Cathe" (Catherine). It is my belief that Mary married Peter Schaefer in 1870 in Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, and they are my gr-gr-grandparents.
So I am filling in the whole Schaefer side of things. Any info that you have that might add to that side of the story would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks, Mary Ann
BTW, you should be able to see my family tree on ancestry.com - it's public. The info I have for Adam's and Mary's parents are: father is Balthasar Stolzenberger and Gertrude Schnabel. That info was acquired from:
