What a great surprise to find your speedy reply. As I mentioned, my genealogy research was put aside a few years ago and I just rejoined and began researching Ancestry yesterday. I'll need to dig into my records and see just what I have. I know I have photos of Hezekiah and Julia Phelps and my mother's records from her days doing genealogy research (the hard way). I'll have to blow away the cobwebs, both in my mind and on the gobs of papers, and see what may be buried there.
Just looking in Ancestry last night in the 1860 census I found Hezekiah and Julia with two children, Henry T. and your William J. In the 1880 census Hezekiah and Julia are listed with daughter Mary B. (my great grandmother, "Belle") and sons John, George and Robert. By then William J. and Henry T. were old enough to be out on their own.
Please reply to my email address and we can exchange more:
ok dilly at yahoo dot com. I've separated the letters in the address and substituted words instead of symbols in
hopes of preventing "harvesting" of my address.
I look forward to sharing with you. I know my mother will find this exciting too.
Thanks!
