I had an Uncle named Joseph Fels. He married my Father's sister Catherine Hennes. They lived in Colorado but he was originally from NJ. Through his SS# I tracked him to the census of 1910. Father was Leo and Mother was Christina. He had brothers John and Henry at that time. May have been more siblings. Does any of this sound familiar.
They were living in the 14 ward of Newark Nj in the 1910 Census. Leo Fels was listed as a laborer originally from Germany.
