My branch of the Felsing family came to the US from Damstadt. My great grandfather Karl Ludwig came before the Civil War. He fought in the war and afterwards returned to Germany with his wife and children and had some more children over there. My grandfather Karl Heinrich Jacob was born in Darmstadt in 1869 and the family returned to the US in 1874. I don't know if there is a connection between the Berlin Felsings and the Darmstadt Felsings.

I am Dawn Felsing, my father Howard August Felsing was born in 1902 and died in 1991. He did some genealogical research back in the 70's to try and find out if we were related to Marlene. He had read somewhere that her mother's maiden name was Felsing. He was never successful as the researcher said most of the old records in Germany were destroyed in the war. He even tried writing to her but she never replied.

Very interesting to know that there is a branch of the Felsing family in the Canary Islands.
