My uncle is Art Felesky.... he has a son Brian that lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My father recently passed away and Art is now the only surviving sibling from this family.
The father was Mose Felesky and the mother was Katherine Lachenmeier both fron Hoffnungstall, S. Russia...i believe.
Last night I was going thru some of my fathers effects and found his birth and marriage certificate... On his birth certificate it states his father's name was Mike Fleski, and mother was Kate Lichmeier. The marriage certificate states the names as I've known them. Now i know when immigrants came to this country language was a huge issue. I have tried to find history on Felesky's before and come up empty although i can find lots of history for Lachenmeier. Perhaps Felesky is a derivitave of Fleski. Hope this helps.
