I have a copy of The Felt Genealogy: A Record of the Descendants of George Felt of Casco Bay, 1893. Your Joseph Henry Felt (b. in Salem May 9, 1840; m. in Salt Lake City, Dec. 24, 1866, Sarah Louisa Bouton. They resided in Salt Lake City as of 1893.
Joseph is the first son of Nathaniel Henry Felt, born in Salem, Feb. 6, 1816. He became a Mormon and was one of thos who resisted the mob in Nauvoo, Ill., in 1846.
He went to St. Louis and became president of the St. Louis conference, then moved on to Salt Lake City.
I can give you a lot more if you want it. My wife is a descendant of another branch of that same family, which went to Michigan.
If you know anything about the family of Dorman Felt, b. April 2, 1810, in Packersfield (Nelson) N.H., moved to Grass Lake, Mich., then became a Michigan legislator just before the Civil War, I would love to hear from you.
Thanks.
