Joan,
I found our Felten family records on Mormon films 1793035 (births about 1803 to 1879) and 1793036(marriages and deaths, with deaths only to 1855) for Boevange, which includes Heisdorf and the village of Hamiville. An old Majerus genealogy from Luxembourg tipped me off to the Felten-Hamiville connection. The birthdate of my great, great grandmother Elisabeth Felten, little sister of your great grandfather John Felten, is 1824, not 1822 as reported in the Felten's genealogy, but otherwise the dates we have are proving to be amazingly accurate, suggesting that a full-fledged Felten genealogy exists someplace. A couple of questions. First, have you seen these records yet? If not, you will surely want to. They contain a treasure trove of information. Second, would you like to help? I am hard at work on all the people with the surname Felten but could sure use a hand with Margaret Werner's family. Also, do you have any thoughts on how to contact our Felten relatives in Luxembourg? If a professional Felten genealogy exists, they have it. Awaiting your reply. Stella
