Raspberry Peal was my 3rd great grandfather also. His daughter Fannie Peal married EJ Powell and their daughter Era Brooksie Powell married David D. Mims. Their son CB Mims was my maternal grandfather. The Peal/Powell/Mims line is detailed on my public tree ("Wood/Moody").
Do you have any information on Raspberry's parents? Seems like I've hit a dead end there. I did see a North Carolina marriage license issued to Jo Cephus Peal and Lydia Wilson in 1795 that I found interesting, but can't prove a connection through other records.
