Hello seamus46

Wow, there are a lot of FERGUSONs in Craignish (I've just been trying to work out who lived where, and looking at possible relationships & connections, but you might be easier route if you go 6 generations back).

Would you happen to know of an Alexander FERGUSON who in 1824 married an Isabella McINTYRE??? His father John FERGUSON. This is what I have from OPRs:

"Parish 508 Craignish Marriages AD 1824
Alexander Ferguson, son of John Ferguson in Lergichonybeg, and Isabella McIntyre, daughter of Archd McIntyre soldier & Mary McNicol his wife, now in Lergichony gave in their names for proclamation of Banns on the 11th Decemr & being legally proclaimed there three several sabbaths were married to Inverary on the 28th Dec."

This Alexander F at Baravulin in 1841 census with wife and 4 children, but unsure whether that is wife Mary and two daus Ann & Isabella still at Barravullin in 1851, Alexander not there (looks like he was a soldier).

Of all the Fergusons, I had to pick a John - the one name not many of in Craignish - does this fit any of yours??

Look forward to hearing from you.

Buzzy G
