I'm looking for more information about Donald Ferguson who married Janet (or Jessie) MacPherson. They had a child, Lilly Ferguson July 6, 1835 in Craignish, Scotland.

Also... if anyone could clear up a mystery for me. My records passed down from family have referred to many of my female ancestors as Jessie. I am finding a lot of records that refer to Janet. Was there some relationship between the two names?
