I am looking for an ancestor of mine, named John H. Ferguson/Furguson. I have the 1870 and 1880 census that states he and his wife, Helen, were living in Albany Ward 10 during these years. John was born around 1827, 1828, or 1829. He worked as a traveling salesman and as a spice and coffee agent. Helen was born in 1831 in New York. They had a son, named, John C. Ferguson, born in August,1863 in Yorkshire, New York. His son was Morgan Thomas Ferguson, born in 1899 in Osceola, Michigan and died in 1933 of Bronchitis. If any one can help me, please contact me. I was also told by my family that we came from Scotland, if that helps, but I don't know the validity of that statement.
