Does anyone have any information on Leighton Ferrell of Warren County, Tennessee? He was the sheriff of That county and died in 1936. I have spent years searching for his parents names. He married Elizabeth Taylor who was the daughter of Edmund Taylor, Junior of Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia. The Taylor family can be traced back to the Lewis's and Warners Of Virginia but I cannot find any info regarding Ferrell's parents. Family tradition says it is a Willliam Ferrell because they have a son named William Ferrell. However, no one has any proof.
