Yes, Chester Died in Michigan at his home. Magdalene was born 6-8-1914 in Tippah County, Mississippi and died in Grand Junction, Michigan in her home on 2-17-1998. She is also buried at Lee townchip Cemetry in Allegan County.Chester and Magdalene are buried next to each other.

HI, Chester Garfield Ferrell was my grandpa. He was born 8-15-1916 in Walnut, Mississippi and passed away on 2-27-1990 and is buried at Lee Township Cemetery in Michigan. I have his birth certificate and my grandma magdalene ferrell. That is what everyone called her while i was growing up but on her birth certificate she has Lillie Sargent.

I am looking for information on James Robert Biddle (everyone called him Bob) b abt 1876 Married Minnie Pearl Morrison in 1917. Minnie Pearl had a young daughter before the marriage, Ruby Cleo Morrison. Bob and Pearl had a daughter together, Lena. Bob died in 1933 and is buried in Mt Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in West Blocton,Alabama. Pearl was his second wife and I believe he had children from his first marriage. My greatest wish is to locate a living descendant of Bob in hopes that they will have family lore surrounding the birth of Ruby to help me establish her paternity. If there is anyone out there that knows of living relatives of Bob Biddle, please contact me. Thanks for any help.

The Toney Cemetery is located in Lincoln County on what is called Big Ugly Creek Road. It is less than a mile from another Ferrell cemetery on Broad Branch Road.

Thank you so very much, Steve! I've had some of these names for a very long time but no information about them. I am glad to learn more about them and their families. By the way, do you know if this Toney Cemetery is located in Logan County, WV? Just don't think I've every heard of it before.

I am a descendant of William and Martha Thompson Ferrell through both Richard Ferrell, Sr. and John Ferrell. Guess I am a double cousin to a lot of Ferrells!

Thomas Bradford Ferrell is my great grandfather. Almost all of his genealogy has been completed by my mother and I'm sure she would share it with you. Hi, my name is Chase Ferrell and I am currently the last of my name in my family (the only male in my generation so the name continues with my direct bloodline). I have recently become very interested in learning about my family and ancestors. I am also related to the Hawkins line and Beshearse line through my mother. I have lived in DeKalb County TN my entire life in Smithville. My father grew up in Cannon County (Woodbury TN) and I think the majority of my family is from that area.

Hi, I'm not sure how old this post is, but I might have some information. I am the last of the Ferrell name (the only male in the entire family of my generation). I have become very interested in learning my roots and such. My father's name is Marshall, my grand-father is Ellis, and my great-grandfather was Marshall as well. I remember the name Josephine in our family, but I'm not sure where it comes into play. I also know that I have some Native American blood in my family line. I am not familiar with this name. I have just started getting serious about my family tree. I have traced back to my great-great-great grandfather but his wife was Maria J. and I have run into a blank wall. I had originally seen where she was born in Tennessee and had thought she was born in NC somewhere but without a last name, I have no idea where to look next. Also, it is like William Lowe Farrill was there but no farther information past him - no parents or anything about him. I will keep your reply and if I find something, I will be glad to let you know. Most of our family was from Mississippi and Tennessee.

James Lewis Ferrell's father was William Lowe Farrill married to Maria J. She was born in NC but can find no more information on either of these two individuals. James Lewis was my great-great-grandfather. I have traced down the history through James Lewis Jr. and his son Clyde Augusta Ferrell was my grandfather. I haven't traced back through all the offsprings yet but intend to work on that also since I am retired now. If you have any helpful information, will you share it with me? Thank You in advance!

You and my wife Liz (Elizabeth Ann Hoover Erickson) are third cousins. Your great-grandfather Wilson Taylor Ferrell and her great-grandmother Madora Alice Farrell are brother and sister.

Her parents are there - Morris Franklin Hoover and Lula Vera Brown. You can follow her ancestry up through the Hoover, Porter, and Farrell/Farril line.

One of the children of Wilson and Eliza was a Wilson Taylor Ferrell, b. abt 1848 in MS. All of his children spelled their name Fariell or Farriell. Their descendants are in the SSDI with both variations. But every document I have found for Wilson Taylor Ferrell, his siblings and parents, have always had the spelling either Ferrell or Farrill.
Have you found some documents that I have missed?
My wife is also descended from Wilson and Eliza Ferrell/Farrill.

Trying to find out more about a George Ferrell and his wife nee Critchley (either Minnie or Eleanor - not sure which sister he married). The Critchleys were from Ontario but a 1919 obituary refers to Mrs Geo. Ferrell, New York!

The Wilson & Eliza Ferrell you speak of were my great great grandparents. The name was actually spelled Fariell. According to my mother, his father's name was William Taylor Fariell. She is not totally sure about the William part, but definitely remembers the Taylor. It seems that he went by Taylor.

I have only just started this search. I hope this helps with yours.

You are so right about Wilson Taylor; I don't know where my head was. My mother and I found a census that stated that Wilson W. father's name was William. I will get hold of her and find out which census it was.

My grandfather was Monte Fariell; great grandfather Wilson Taylor. Your wife's?

We are from Oklahoma, Latimer County, which is right next to Pittsburg County. My mother is from Quinton.

DoD Identifies Marine Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Lance Cpl. Bruce E. Ferrell, 21, of Perdido, Ala., died Aug. 10 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
