Information that may be interesting to you and the Feser/Moos clan.

I have information on Peter Moos Sr. and Jr. Peter Sr. immigrated on April 4, 1884, on the ship "Hermann" from Antwerp; originally from Luxembourg. Children were: Nicholas (23) "farmer"; Catherine, 22 (wife); Joseph, 20 "workman"; Heinrich ("Harry", 18); my maternal grandfather, Franz ("Frank"), 16; Peter, 13; Marguerite, 11; Josephine, 10; and another little daughter, Mary (?) name unclear. (KS census,at Tipton, 3/1/1885.) They settled at or around Blue Hill, Mitchell Co. In 1905 Peter Jr. was at Carr Creek, Mitchell Co.

My grandfather told me many stories. At first they lived in a dugout. The boys scattered for work; Franz migrated on foot and eventually by pony to Texas. Peter Sr.'s wife died and he returned to their original tiny village of Pratz, Lux., where he remarried in his 80s.I saw the cenotaph on his grave in the churchyard in 1972. I have a couple of photographs of Peter Sr. and his wife, one with the entire family.

Does anyone know the exact location of the homestead? Or any photographs.
I have some more data to share. Thanks!!
