M.F. Fessler of 700 East Third Avenue died at his home at 4:10 o'clock in the afternoon Saturday. The funeral is to be held from the Holy Family Catholic church under the direction of Monsignor J.M. Brady. The burial will be made at Alexandria. Mr. Fessler was 77 years of age.

This obit was taken from a Mitchell S.D. newspaper. Merenes was born in the Dubuque Iowa area to Raymond and Mary (Frick) Fessler on 17 Apr 1854 and died in Mitchell S.D. on 18 Aug 1928. He is buried along with his wife Lena at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Alexandria S.D. The age in the obit is wrong, he died at the age of 74.
