Robert L. Fessler Robert Leo Fessler, age 81, a resident of St. Mary's Home East passed away Sunday December 7, 2008. Bob was born in Erie on April 24, 1927, the son of the late Marc William and Helen Janeski Fessler. He graduated from Cathedral Prep in 1945, attended St. Charles Seminary, served in the US Navy, and in 1950 graduated from Gannon College. He received a post-graduate degree from New York University. Bob married the former Patricia Jack in 1950 and they were married for 55 years until her death in 2005. Patricia was a 1950 graduate of Mercyhurst College. Bob served in many positions for the DuPont Company of Wilmington, Del. for 34 years and prized his roles in Management of efficiency challenges addressed by DuPont, limited to, but not excluding energy and attendant environment affairs. Active in his Catholic faith ministry while living in the Wilmington Diocese, Bob was a member of the Bishop's Pastoral Council. He also served as a lector, Eucharistic Minister and chaired the RENEW Program for the Diocese. Upon returning to Erie, Bob served as a lector for the Masses at St. Mary's Home chapel. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Carol Anne Pace. Robert is survived by a sister, Mary D. Fessler of Erie. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday December 13, 2008 in the Chapel of St. Mary's Home East at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robert L. and Patricia J. Fessler Foundation, P.O. Box 14407, St. Petersburg, FL 33733. Arrangements by the John J.
