Looking for information on these two individuals. Heartley M. Fetty was born in PA according to 1850 Federal Census for Marion County, W.VA. According to his obituary, he was born in Marion County. He married Catherine McRoberts (born in Fleming County, KY) on January 25, 1838. Both Heartley and his wife died in Randolph County, MO. According to his obituary, he had moved to Sullivan County, MO in 1851 where he lived for many years until they moved to Clifton Hill, Randolph County, MO in 1865. According to the death notice that I have, he died on August 26, 1881. He is buried in that county. This death notice was published by his daughter, Sarah, in the St. Louis Christian Advocate. Heartley Fetty had been a minister (denomination unknown). His daughter, who posted this notice, died just a few years later at age 38, at the home of her mother in Clifton Hill. The notice was dated 5/3/1882 and also appeared in the same publication as the notice for Heartley M. Fetty.
My great-great grandfather, Alfred A. Fetty, born somewhere in Missouri. His uncle was Heartley M. Fetty. My information states that he was reared in the home of this uncle. I do not have the names of Alfred A. Fetty's parents nor do any of his direct descendants as far as I can determine. He later moved to Texas and married my great-great grandmother, Mary Caroline Steele.
I would appreciate any information anyone might have about Heartley M. Fetty and/or Alfred A. Fetty. Heartley M. Fetty never appeared in any census record for any state other than the 1850 Federal Census for West Virginia
