Hello Feuerbacher Cousins, When I started this Feuerbacher message board I was hoping not only to find more descendents of Alvin & Emma (Hernsdorf) Feuerbacher, but to find more information on Alvin and Emma. Since the board is now getting more action than it did at first I'm finding that there are messages posted that I don't see for awhile because I don't come back to the board often enough. So I am now going to volunteer to start and manage a Feuerbacher-L list at rootsweb.com . This is a service that takes the postings at this forum and sends them to members in daily or in digest form. I belong to several of these lists and it is a good way to monitor the postings at the message board so you don't miss anything interesting or important. I'm going to set up the list tonight and will come back to leave instructions on how to subscribe (no charge) to the Feuerbacher-L list. Oh! the new info--Even though Chester put a copy of the ticket receipt for Emma & 7 children's trip to America in his book--he'd (nor I) had ever been able to find ship's records. Well, I found it last week! They came on the ship AMERICA and landed (or sailed--right now I can't remember which) on Feb 6 1886. Listed were: Emma Feuerbach, age 36; Franz 9 yr 6 mo; Gustav 7 yr; Emil 8 yr; Anna 5 yr; Hugo 3 yr 9 mo; Otto 12 yr; Paul 14 yr. This all matches the info in Chester's book. He would have loved that we found this!!! Still looking for Alvin's passage.
