I'm sorry I won't be of much help to you. I don't have anyone by the names you listed. The only person I have associated with Fewster who is from Ireland would be James Francis Fewster's wife Elizabeth Burnett. She was born in Ireland and came to Baltimore, MD and married James Fewster. I have no idea where he was from. Kelli

But my G.Grand Father William Henry Fewster married Catherine Mary O’Donnell (daughter of Private James O’Donnell) 25th May 1894 in Essendon. I’ve started mucking around with our family history and I’ve a bit of detail on the Fewster side if you are interested and it’s of use.

Kind regards,

Jon Fewster
Hello,

I have traced my FEWSTER ancestry back as far John FEWSTER and his wife Anne WILTSHIRE whose son Joseph FEWSTER was born c1835 at Bristol, England based on information contained in the birth certificate of his son (my great great grandfather) John Fewster born 1862 at Ballarat, Victoria (Australia).

Joseph married Amelia LEIGHFIELD (ch 27 August 1837 @ Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, Eng.) in November 1855 and the couple were then in Greenwich in England before embarking on the Annie Wilson on their way to Victoria.

I would love to hear from anyone who has FEWSTER ancestors in Bristol or the Somerset area at the beginning of the 19th century who may be connected, as I have been unable to find any trace of John and Ann or any other children so far.

Best wishes to everyone,

Leslie-Ann

FEWSTER/FEUSTER

I'm researching the descendants of Thomas Fewster/Feuster (1791-1866) and wife, Alice(1794-1878).They immigrated from England and arrived in Baltimore in 1830. From there, most of the family settled in Fayette County, PA.

It is possible that there was an older son/sons who remained in MD. About the same time, the surname begins to appear in Michigan and Ontario, Canada. I can't help but feel that there is some connection.

I have found the surname in various census reports as FEWSTER, FEUSTER, FUESTER, FOOSTER, FUSTER, FEASTER, FEISTER and FENSTER.
