Hi Rena, I'm just starting and you seem to be well informed about the fieldens. I wonder if you can help me. i have lots of info on the famous line of fieldens and there were thousands of them were't there? mine is luke. he was not gentry and i just cant find him. he was born about !840 in todmorden and married mary baume in about 1862. he was my gr. gr. gf.He doesnt seem to be of the nicholas /john /joshua/samuel line but i think he may have been a stonemason and responsible for the inscription (john's words) on Stoodley Pike monument in about 1865 when it was repaired. Have you any clue? Kind regards Jenny (in Cornwall UK)
