Looking for any information on a Clarence A Figgins son of Albert and Lucy Mcmahan born near Brackon Ky. He is my grandfather we lost contact with him in the 1940's near St. Louis Mo. He was once married to a Violet Devaney. They had 2 sons Clarence II and Leslie. They lived for a time near Fenton Mo. If anyone has come across his place or date of death I would be very grateful for a link.

I'm not certain if this is the same Russell Figgins, but he does have the same date of birth and what appears to be the same parents:

Father: John Figgins Mother: Kate

According to the obituary, the Russell Figgins who died June 23, 1949 appears to have a different wife:

Still trying to figure out if the Russell Figgins who married Isadore Cooper and the Russell Figgins who was married to Sarah Ross are the same Russell Figgins.

Karen- You mentioned being a grandaughter of Jesse Figgins, Iowa. If you are referring to Jessie Figgins daughter of Daniel Figgins and Rebecca Ann Lane, born Jan 1889, then we would be 2nd cousins. My grandmother was Emily Figgins McQuillen, older sister to Jessie. My mother was named Jessie Irene after Emily's younger sister. I'm working on the John & Kate(Lowe) Figgins family for Penny (Figgins). Her grandparents were Russell and Isadore(Cooper). It seems no one knows what happen to Russell son of John and Kate. He seem to disappear. I found him in the city directory in Arizona until the 1941 than nothing. It's like he fell of the face of the earth. I found your message on Ancestry. I also am working on this same line John and Kate(Lowe)Figgins. I'm working with my girlfriend (she is the granddaughter of Russell) but she never knew her dad's side of the family. Her line is glenn,russell, john

I am trying to locate information concerning Richard Figgins and Dora Figgins. Richard was from Ohio. Their children, Cordelia a/k/a Delia a/k/a Deedie, Florence and Lewis, were born in Bracken, Kentucky between 1894 and 1899. Florence and Cordelia (Delia), my great aunt and grandmother, grew up in an orphange in Kentucky. Apparently the parents died between 1900 and 1910. I am assuming that Richard is a relative to John (brother?) as the children's names are very similar. I would like to know why and how the parents died. This is the extent of the information I have.

i was born to lloyd marion figgins in 1956..he was married to juanita may mcdonald i was the youngest of 8 children. his mothers name was isadore figgins and his father was russell...they came from aberdeen ohio but all of my sisters and brothers were born in virginia or washington d.c.

John & Elizabeth Figgins - Athens Co., OH

Trying to find a marriage record between John Figgins and spouse, Elizabeth. They are in Athens Co., Athens twp. OH in the 1840 census with three children. I believe John was born 1800-1810 VA and Elizabeth was born 1810-1820 OH.
Their daughter, Mary Figgins, age 11, is living with John and Frances White in 1850.
Children: Edward, Frances, Mary and John Figgins.

I show an Emma Figgins born 1887, Iowa died May 22, 1917 place unknown. Father Joseph Franklin Figgins, born January 13, 1855, Indiana. Mother Melissa M. Damon, born March 29, 1859, Missouri.

Joseph died after 1930 near Eagle Colorado. Melissa died January 23, 1947, Eagle Colorado.

Emma is still living with her parents in CO in 1910 at age 23. However this Emma having died in 1917 would not be in 1920 census as Emma Williamson. She could have been married and had children between 1910 and 1917.

Emma's siblings- Mary Hester Figgins, Sarah Fannie Figgins, Lora Ellen Figgins, Lucy Annie Figgins, Frank Jessie Figgins, George Edward Figgins.
