On March 16, 2003; LT. COLONEL JOHN A. FILBERT, U.S. Army Retired. Beloved husband of the late Serena A. (nee Longo); devoted father of William J. Filbert and his wife Susan of Easton, PA, John S. Filbert and his wife Kathy of Greensboro, N.C.; loving grandfather of Jennifer, Kaitlyn, B.J. and Kirsten; loving great-grandfather of Elizabeth Serena Filbert; dear brother-in-law of Michaelina Longo; dear uncle of Daniel J. and Jean Longo of Bel Air, MD. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at the family owned Leonard J. Ruck, Inc., Funeral Home, 5305 Harford Road (at Echodale) on Tuesday 10 AM. Interment Arlington National Cemetery.
