I am trying to locate any information for my grandmother Odile (Cordelia) Fillion. All I have is that she was born in Quebec Feb 16 1867, she married Leandre LaCombe in AuSable Michigan May 26 1884. I have their marriage license but does not list her parents, I have located information for a John Fillion (1860 census for Tawas MI) showing him as a blacksmith, this would be in the same area. Also show a Hermidas or Hormisdas Fillion (Filion), have found reference to him (marriage records) marrying an Amanda LaFlamme Jul 12 1890, also in the same area. Have traced him to Minnesota and with an alias of Raymond Felion. It shows his son as Arthur Felion, Arthur's son as Thomas Raymond Felion. Cannot make any direct connections that would help find her family. With the changes in the name spellings not sure who I am looking for now, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I am working on my brick wall - I have the name of a man named Erdelio Fellan, born in France and was 33 in 1917. He was a chauffeur, I believe, for a well-to-do family. My grandmother was a Swedish cook for the same family. I have two pictures of him. He left NYC around 1917 to avoid the draft. I cannot be sure of the spelling, naturally. I have never come across the first name "erdelio" anywhere. Obviously I have found variations of the spelling of Fellan/Ferland/Fellion, etc. I would love to find something about him. Thank you

Estros O. Fillion of Vermont

Hi..I'm trying to fill in the blanks in my family tree and so am looking for info about Estros. He married my grandfather's sister, the only date I've got is the sister's birth year, 1917, so the marriage must have taken place approximately 18-20 years later, (1937?) Anyone knowing information that can help, please email...thanks, Cat

Filion/Fillion

I am researching the line of my grandmother
Blanche Filion who married Joseph Louis LeBrun on May 16, 1905 in Montreal, QC. Her name is spelled with one "l" in Feb. 1913, but with 2 "l" on her photograph taken at her first communion. Her father was Joseph and mother Marie Godin. She was born in late 1883 and dies Feb 20, 1913 at the age of 29 yrs 3 mos.
Tradition is that she was related to the family of Phileas Fillion who married Luce Pepin-Lachance around 1866 in Quebec or Ile d'Orleans.
Other names: Gustave, Henri, Ovide, Romeo, Lucienne, Adelard, Ulric (Last name: Fillion)
Pierre Filion.
Can someone rescue me - I've hit a stonewall!
Many thanks
PS - "L" was mostly used in the Montreal area while "LL" was used in the Quebec area but this is not a fast rule.
