I maybe able to give you a little clarification on the Charles W Finneys that you have in your notes. Charles Warne Fnney was the son of John Peden Finney and Rebecca Warne. He was born in 1837 in South Beaver, Beaver County , Pa and died 27 March 1918. William E Finney married Emma Rayl and was a son of John Peden Finney, not a brother. His son was Charles V Finney, born Jan 1872 and died March 1911. All the records I have seen show his middle initial as V, although I do not know what the V stands for. John Peden Finney and Rebecca Warne moved to Suth Beaver, Pa and eventually to East Liverpool, OH. Their descendants have moved back and forth across the PA-OH border, which was very common for people in this area.
