I have Finnie's from Greenock in my tree. William born in 1796,married an Eliza and had a son John born 1830. He married an Ann and had a son James born 1854. He married a Mary Bolton and they moved to England, eventually settling in Rotherham area. They had a son John, born 1877, who married a Lucy Stillings. John and Lucy had a daughter Rose who was my grandmother. Don't know if these are related to your Finnies.
