Carmella Misciagna was my father's sister. His name was Gennaro. I am working on my tree as well. Luckily my oldest sister did the leg work on our tree and knew most of the relatives. I, being the youngest, have to rely on her tree and my older family members. Anything you need on the Misciagna Family feel free to contact me.

Sorry for the delyed response. Rose is my mother. We travelled to Collelongo together last fall. My sister Julie and her two sons also went along. I am old enough to remember Alphonse and his brother Vincent. Alphonse owned and operated the Astoria, a resturant. I ate lunch there most days when I was in the second grade becasue my mother worked there as a hostess. Vincent's family owned the El Rio. If you are still conducting your research I will try to answer any questions you may have.

Fiore

Hi! I pretty much know about my group of Fiores, which I will share and the info may be helpful to someone. I know that my grandmother Concetta was born in Orange NJ in 1903. My great-grandmothers name was Josephine (her mother) and not sure of her husband, but may be Salvatore. He died when I was born, 1951. There names in order Carmella, Concetta, Rosina, Antonio, James and Salvatore. Settled in the Boro Park section of Brooklyn where all remained until their deaths. Also Josephines brother Alphonse Genovese also settled there on the same block. I hope that this information is helpful to someone and if you can add anything it would be appreciated.

I too am researching this family and have some information that I'd be glad to share. What would you like to know?

Salvatore Anthony FIORE, son of Luigi FIORE, arrived in NY on 19 Dec 1895 with his mother, Pasqualina CARTAGINESE (or CARTAGENESE), and two siblings. The family appears together in Charlestown, NH, in the 1900 U.S. Census, in Walpole, NH, in the 1910 U.S. Census, in Rockingham (Bellows Falls), VT in the 1920 U.S. Census, and, in 1930, in Boston.

The surnames and the given names change several times (or are misunderstood by census-takers or census transcribers) over the years.
