Julie...I am the grandson of Doris Drew Firebaugh, the oldest sister of your Nana. I have a ton of history on them. We even have a lot of photos of the twins as they grew up and later went into show business. My Dad, Myron "Miny" Poe was her nephew and he was born in 1918 about a year after her I think. Dad passed away in 2009 but my Mom, Fern Poe, knows your Nana and the twins and their husbands have been to my Mom's home in Long Beach, CA a number of times. My email address is poepuppets@gmail.com Let's talk

Tom Poe
Hello,
My name is Sarah Firebaugh Blom. I am a decendent of Samuel Angus Firebaugh from the Harrisonburg, Va Rockingham co group. My Great Uncle Marshall Firebaugh lived there for many years and has passed down his extensive geneology search and info to my Mother who also spent many years on the family tree starting with immigration to America. Samuel Angus wrote a famous civil war diary while travelling with the 10th Va infantry. The diary has been referenced in many historical texts re: the war. My grandfather is Samuel Rees Firebaugh Jr and has roots in Richmond Va. If anyone wants info on this branch i'd love to help. We came down from PA to Va after the brothers split including the one that went west to California.

Hello I'm praying you all can help me, help my Nana who is probably one of the oldest Firebaugh's left. She and her identical twin sister were adopted shortly after birth. Her biological parents were Lizzie B. Drew and Luther Firebaugh. So Luther Firebaugh would be my Great Grandfather. My Nana's name is June and her sister was Jean. Any information about our family would be so meaningful to June. She lost her husband and sister this past year and I would love her to receive a blessing of her family history.

Philip's line is detailed in the book The Firebaugh-Fierbaugh Family in America, author John Fierbaugh. Adam and Philip are both listed in an 1810 census for Rockingham county, Virginia. This Adam and Philip may have been Adam's (Heinrich's son) sons. Adams line is outlined fairly well in the book Firebaugh California Pioneers about Andrew Firebaugh and Susan Burgess written by Brenda Burnett Preston, a descendent of Andrew.

Adam Firebaugh, Heinrich's son, went south to Virginia, around Harrisonburg. His offspring settled in Rockbridge County, around Rockbridge Baths. There is extensive info about Adams descendants in a book about Andrew Firebaugh written by one of his descendants, I don't have her name with me at the moment. Her first name is Susan.

She signed adoption papers as Kitty Sullivan where as the Family My grand mother was born to their Sir name is Tener and Gave my mom the Firebaugh name before going on to marry a Noble Mattern and then passing away at age 40.
My mother was born Feb 10, 1945. I am currently sending information that I do have to my local member of congress to try to get military records of anykind on Elza H Firebaugh.
Thanks Terri - your gedcom is great work. I'm researching the Boor/Bohr family and see you have several in your tree. I'm descended from Burkhardt Bohr, brother of the immigrant Michael whose descendant was Mary Elizabeth Boor. Having difficulty finding any info on Burkhardt's children. Do you have any other Boors who aren't on your gedcom? Thanks again, Dana

Too many Michael's - Harrison County, Ohio

On Ancestry World Tree, when I do a search on Michael FIERbaugh, it comes up with entries showing him born 22 June 1808 in Allegheny MD, the son of Phillip & Barbara Hendrick Fierbaugh, and married to Magdelena Van Gundy.

However, if I do a search on Michael FIREbaugh, it shows him born 22 June 1808 in Allegheny MD, the son of Phillip & Barbara Hendrick Firebaugh, but with three marriages to Catherine Canaga, Rebecca Martin, and Jemima Leigh.

I'm actually trying to figure out the relationship between Michael Firebaugh who married Catherine Canaga, and John Firebaugh who married Amanda Rippeth. If the Michael Firebaugh who married Catherine Canaga is indeed the child of Phillip & Barbara Hendricks Firebaugh, then Michael is an uncle to John Firebaugh who married Amanda Rippeth, but I don't want to enter that relationship into my family file when there appears to be a conflict on his parentage.

Can anyone help? Thank you so much for your time.

Delores, If you have access to a nearby branch of the Family History Center, you can get a microfilmed copy of "The Firebaugh-Fierbaugh Family in America" by John Franklin Fierbaugh. His work is not documented, but Mr. Fierbaugh seems to be accurate on most of his data. So far, everything that I have been able to follow up, has proven correct. terjess@earthlink.net

Hello, Tim,

I just returned from Europe and looked for Feuerbach names there in the phonebooks. Didn't spot one.

When Clarence Firebaugh celebrated his 90th birthday, I presented the family with a compilation of family history I had collected throughout the years. Herschel has the best copy of it and has worked with it from time to time.

That's the best clue I can give you. My best to you dad. I'm so glad his troops are home again.

Out of here, Emily

Did you ever get anymore info on your family? My mother has some of the information that you want. Elizabeth Firebaugh, who is the wife of Casper Firebaugh remarried after Casper's death. Apparently she married John Smith. They had one child together. The child, Clara Smith is my mother's grandmother. Clara Smith married Milan Mox.

Let me know if you have not gotten the information that you were looking for.

Sandy Dickinson Fowler

Nicole, I have a ton of information on the Feverbauch (german spelling) families. But before I get into what I have is your family from the Orders of Bohemain Nobility of the Holy Roman Empire for faithful service rendered in war agians t the Turks Under King Ferdinand of Hungry & Bohemia (july 3, 1545). then later from Decendents of German immigrant Heinrich Feverbach, that came to America on Nov. 2, 1744??
But I have that name was changed between the two brothers and the people signing in the immigrants ("X" was placed on ship records, stating change) His two sons Phillip & Adam (Johann Adam) changed the name to Firebaugh, Fireboh, Firebach and later my family between 1850 - 1880 Fierbaugh. Adam settled in Virgina, Phillip Feirbaugh migrated to Western Pa (harrison county, Ohio to Putman Counties virgina & as my Uncle said "West - By - God Virginia!!!! My Uncle Harry has done a massive reasearch on the families & I have a ton of informatio. I would be happy to share if we are of the same familied (even if not anything I could help,)

Have a wonderful day Bernadette
