I have been of line since then. I am currently finding my way back on line ! I still have family in Erie, Pa and Cambridge Springs. My father had about a dozen siblings, but one brother died as a child. He was struck by a car while crossing the road. Since I was born here in Ga; I don't really know alot of my family. All I remember that was told to me by my late grandmother Edieth is that my family is from Germany. Started off with First then became Firster. If you have any info. or know anyone that may have info. on what I have mentioned, please let me know when you can. Thank you and have a Happy Thanksgiving !

I was looking through my Firster info and I see a letter from James Ward who was looking for a Leah Firster born 1820 m. Wm G. Vorous. I haven't corresponded with anyone in so long, so I'm going through my notes and info I have. He sent me a bunch of info he found when he visited the area. Did you give me your address. I'll copy and mail to you. He was wanted proof that his Leah was daughter of Christian, Sr. I don't know if he ever found that out. I would love to find out. He speculated that Christian Sr and Mary Barbary Firster were
John, b. 1801 m. Barbara Grove
Christian P. m. Lydia Brobst. (this is who I believe was my Solomon Firster's father)
George b. 1805
Samuel b. 1810
Leah, b. 1820 m. Wm G. Vorous Probably other children, daughters who we cannot account for.
Now, I'm wondering where Pfeifer comes in? When was Catherine born? Did you tell me where she was buried?
I will send you what I have and let you draw some conclusions.
Charlotte

My 3rd generation grandmother was Catherine Firster, they lived in the Stoneboro and Sandy Lake area of PA in the 1850-1900's. Catherine Firster married Jacob Evans before 1820, they were living in Crawford County, Fairfield Twp in early 1800's. There is a Christian Firster listed as the head of household in the 1810 tax list, 1820 tax list has Jacob Evans living next door to Christian Firster.

Hey! There seems to be a lot of Firster's all over the country. My ex-husband, who is still a very good friend is Keith Firster. We have a son named Christopher. Keith is from near Erie, Carlton and Cochranton are the names of the towns I remember the most. His parents still live there. Well, his dad, Harvey just moved away and is now living in Stoneboro. Maybe you recognize some of this. Let me know. OH! By the way, Keith, Christopher and I live in SC now. So, I suppose we are SC Firster's too.

Cynthia
