Surnames: Firth and Riley
I've completed a family tree that descends from John Firth, and to a small extent Edward Riley, who along with William Hall and Sylvanus Pond had various related business ventures in the music instrument-making and publishing business in New York City during the 19th century. Fortunately, there's quite a bit of literature on the web and in the U.S. census data to trace most of John Firth's descendants, the tricky part will be connecting him back to England as I don't have any information linking him to his parents or birthplace. I want to post this in case there's anyone else out there interested in John's family tree. Also, I'm participating in the Thrift-Frith-Firth genome project and will be happy to share my test results, once they become available, with anyone who may be interested.
