For everyone researching the John George Fischer/Fisher families here is some information that you need to know.

There are two John George Fisher's.

#1 John George Fischer, born in Germany in July 1835, md. Christina Miller, b. 27 Apr. 1839 in Prussia, and lived in Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri. Moved here from Wisconsin between 1865 and 1867. Their children are:
Leo Walter, Louise B., Maria E., Karl (Charles Theodor, John George, Frederick Willard,Amelia Christine, Albert William, Frank, Oscar, Robert E., Joseph A., Benjamin Butler, Harry A., and Mary (adopted). NOTE also that this Amelia Christine Fischer, b. 1865 and died before 1900. She married Peter Casper Wedell in Sedalia,Missouri on 30 Oct 1882 in Lafayette County, Missouri. She died before 1900 census as Peter is shown as widowed.

#2 John George Fischer md. Christine Schubert and lived in Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri. Moved here somewhere around 1861. Their children are: William J., Mary A., 16, Caroline, John, Lewis (Louis), Christopher, and Richard.
