"Deaths at the County House.
Since Jan. 1st, at which time Supt. Saxton took charge of the Ulster County Poor House, up to Aug. 2d, nine deaths have occurred there, two of the number being infant children. The name, age, and date of death of the adults are as follows: Feb. 10th, Cornelius WAY, Rosendale, aged 70 years; May 16th, Edward VALLEY, Olive [NY], aged 80 years; June 2d, Alex NICKERSON, Wawarsing, aged 75 years; June 13th, Wm. FISCHER, Marlborough, aged 87 years; June 13th, Christian FRANZ, Rosendale, aged 70 years; June 21st, Johannes ROSE, Marbletown, aged 70 years; July 5th, Peter LAPP, Wawarsing, aged 75 years. It will be noticed that six out of the seven adults were 70 years old."
