My gggrandfather was Crawford Fisk (no dates) who married Martha Allred, b @ 1832, Blount Co., AL, dau. of William Allred (b. @1806, Knox Co., TN) and Elizabeth Brown.
Family moved from Alabama to what is now Baxter County, Arkansas sometime before the Civil War. Crawford was killed by bushwhackers while home on leave from the 14th Arkansas Confederate Infanty Regiment. Carrie Allred, sister of Martha, was living with them at the time and ran for help. Crawford and Martha's son was James C., married Martha Jane Carson. Their son, my grandfather, was James Evin Fisk, b. 1891, d. 1955, Baxter County, AR. Am thoroughly STUCK on Crawford Fisk. Would be glad to correspond and compare notes.
