Just trying find out if anyone has any history of Flahertys in Misssouri that migght have married a Cherokee during the Trail of Tears. Ther is a persistent story / rumor in my family that it happened. The older members tell of a Cherokee grandmother. But no one seems to know much more than to say it is true.
