I just found and read your reply about Thomas Flaherty. How can we verify this info? I sent to Kankakee county records clerk for that marriage record a while ago, thinking it might also be them, and got a reply back (and my check) that they couldn't find it...frustrating. My great-grandfather was George James Flaherty, the youngest. So interested to hear about Conrad Jakel, because it gives us Lena's parents. I'm not so sure about our Thomas Flaherty being the son of Eugene, though. There seem to be so many Thomas Flaherty's. And did you know that Thomas E. Flaherty, was a Commander in the navy, and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. I did notice that the census records listed differing places for his dad's birthplace. What then? Are you tied somehow to this line, or did you just magically find this info because you are helpful and nice?
Thank you.
