I have a picture that belonged to my Father, Eddie Nichols. It is dated July 19, 1945. It is a picture of a man named Don Flamm. They were both in the Coast Guards. Don wrote on the front of the picture..."To my old buddy Eddie-with a hungry look on my face in memory of our starvation cruise aboard the "SS SPAM." I will gladly send it to a relative!
