I am looking for some documented proof that John Flanders
and Phebe Colburn sired a son named Benjamin. John was born in
Salisbury, MA in 1752. He married Phebe Colburn in NH abt 1774.
She was born in Weare, NH in the mid-late 1750s. They had Miriam
in 1775, John in 1777 and Jacob in 1781 all found in the Weare, NH
town records. I can find LDS ancestry files and Internet family files
which say Benjamin was born in Weare in 1779 and Clarendon, VT in 1780.
Also E.F. Dunbar in the Flanders family history also says Weare in 1779
and makes several other facts which point to Benjamin being John's son.
But no solid references which prove this further then probable.
