Hi Mark,
I don't think we are in the same line, but you never know.
Most of my grandfather's uncles settled in Canada from German/Austria, but his father came to the states in 1907. One sister travelled back and forth between the two a lot. My grandfather was Jacob Otto Flatt and then Robert Jack Flath. The Canadian part of the family kept the Flatt spelling.
Our family moved to Holyoke Mass, before settling in Detroit.
My computer crashed just before Christmas, so I lost some stuff, but we also moved 2 years a ago to a smaller house and I'm still trying to get my family records together in one spot. I can probably answer anything you need to know from my head, though. I'm having a problem remembering the town they lived in in Europe, without digging through books, but I'm hoping it comes to me. You can email me at
mmcenteg@tampabay.rr.com if you want.
Bye for now,
Sheryl
