I am looking for ancestors of the family of Flippins from Louisville, Kentucky Jefferson County. My grandfather's name was John Ambrose Flippins. I am looking for his father's name and that is where I run into a stone wall. I can not find his name in the Kentucky death index or the SSDI. It seems none of the children know anything about their grand father either. My mother's first name was Irma maiden name Flippins she was one of the historians but has now passed away. I would appreciate any help if possible.
