Surnames: Foytik, Fojtik, Lisak, Lysak, Gallagly
I think I'm related to this Foytik Family! My father is Hugh son of Marie Foytik-Gallagly.
My grandmother is Marie Foytik, born in Phillips Wisconsin and daughter of Frank and Rosalie (Lisak/Lysak) Foytik.
Growing up she told me so many wonderful stories of her childhood, unfortunately I remember the stories but not the details.
My grandma Marie had many brothers and sisters, Jim, John, Joe, Emil, Frank, Tony, Francis, Anne, Emily (names I can remember of top of my head). I know a few were able to make it to my wedding in Chicago 1993.
I visited Phillips Wisconsin when I was very young probably the late 70's.
We stayed with Uncle Emil, I believe its the same home where my grandma grew up.
I remember visiting Uncle Joe, he had little baby chicks in his backyard, it was the first house on the road before before Uncle Emil farm.
The funny Uncle was John, (I think) he answered his door with a wig on, he gave us a ride on his tractor, he had a big farm too.
If anyone recognizes this info, please send a message and say hello, I would love to connect and learn more about my Fojtik Roots...
