I have recently started to research the ancestors and descendants of Walter Martin Folcomer. I have the following information

1900 census: Walter Fulcomer, age 12, is a hireling on the farm of John and Catherine Henry in Springfield Twp. York Co. Pa. In the 1900 census, Lilly Folkomer, widow, is living with her parents Henry and Caroline Kauffman and her son Kirby Folkomer

1910 census: lives with in-laws (Shroeder), 704 York St. York, York Co. Pennsylvania, occupation, fireman on Stream railroad, name spelled Folkomer

1917 World War I draft registration: 130 Seventh, Columbia, Pennsylvania, brakeman for Penn. Railroad. Medium height and build, brown eyes and hair, spells name “Folkomer”

1920 census: Age 30, 130 Seventh? St., Columbia, Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania, occupation, brakeman on railroad, parents born PA. Name spelled Folkeomer

1930 census: 619 Walnut Street, Columbia, Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania

1942 World War II draft registration: 48 E. Philadelphia St. York, Pennsylvania, employer, War Dept. D. ???, Marietta H. & R.P. Lancaster signs name Walter Martin Folkomer Sr.

Walter's parents are reported in the Hart Family forum to be Jacob Folkomer and Lilly E. Kauffman.

I have had difficulty tracing a solid connection between Jacob and Walter except for this reference. Jacob seems to be the son of Israel Folkomer if it is the same Jacob (pretty common name)

Can anyone help me.
Debbie
I would be glad to pay for copying and postage for your Folcomer infomaton.

I am assuming (as dangerous as that may be) until i have more information that all Folcomers in Condorus, York Co. Pennsylvania are related no matter how the name is spelled and that most Folcomers in York Co. are related
