HEATH, Ohio: A funeral service for Frank L. Folk, Jr., 85 of Heath, will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster, Ohio.(Fairfield County)
Mr. Folk was born in Rushville, Ohio on March 18, 1925 to the late Frank L. Sr. and Carrie Matilda (Garey) Folk.
He passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark, Ohio on Saturday afternoon, November 6, 2010.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Prior to retirement, he was an auto glass mechanic for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with his loving family.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Thelma (Gantz) Folk, whom he married on February 26, 1956; six children, Barbara Noel, Connie Kropaczewski, Donna (Gene) Laux, Nancy (Bill) Williams, Michael (Kathryn) Folk and Tom Folk; nine grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four siblings, George Folk, Dorothy McArthy, Nettie Boyer and Bertha Lucas.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Frank to the American Cancer Society . Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
