Sorry I must have missed the reply, it has been almost 1 year. My wife and I did not make the trip to Ballihaunis, and I would love to hear what you discovered.
I di some digging into the story of the Titanic, and James and Maggie were in Queensport when the Titanic was docked and taking on 3rd class passengers. Their names were on the manifest for both the Laconia and Mauritania, both of which were in port on The same day, and left the day after the Titanic. So the idea that they just missed being onboard is potentially true, but not absolute.
