Hello! My name is Tunina Farrow Ganda. Benjamin Fomby is also my uncle on my mother's side. I vaguely recall my mother mentioning she had a half sister in Buffalo who passed away almost a decade ago. Cleveland Fomby was married to Ophelia Jones Fomby and they had 13 children. They are as follows: Roy Leon(deceased), Oscar(deceased), Bobby(Gadsden,Ala), Deloris(N. Carolina), Dolly(Gadsden, Ala), Kenneth(Asheville,Ala),Raymond (N.Carolina), Orbin(deceased),Jimmy(deceased)Edith(Riverside, Ala),Benjamin(Lansing,MI), Lottie(Moody, Ala) and Lonnie(Gadsden, Ala).

Hi Martha: The Coker Reunion will be June 8-13 this year. Also if you have a photo of Mason Newton Coker or of the family it would be a great help to me if you could scan and post like you did Eliza Janes photo!

I am also trying to find out what Mason's third wife's last name was. She was called Ellie, Eller, or Ella and last name may have started with a "T". Do you have a clue?

I don't think so, but I am missing a couple pics. I don't rember framing anything else. I have mostly pics of my grandmother's family, but not the Coker family. We may go to Ft. Worth to the Coker reunion. Will let you know if we decide to go, and you can meet us there and there is a woman in the group who has a lot of pictures.

The woman is Eliza Jane Fomby Coker (great-grandmother) and the man is her son James (Jim) Coker, (my grandfather). The house's ownership and locale is not known to me, but it looks like a house in Alabama. I am hoping that someone will recognize it or the people in the picture. The picture was in my Fomby/Coker pictures is why I think that someone will recognize it.
To Debbie: I was reared in Ft. Worth, myself, and lived in the Monticello part of Arlington Heights.

Hi: I have Eliza Jane Fomby (Formby) and Sallie Sarah Fomby (Formby) in my line. They were sisters and were both wives of Mason Newton Coker. Sallie married Mason after Eliza (Elizabeth?) died.

Hi, I looked it up my great grandfathers name was William Edison Fomby. My grandfathers name was Edison William Fomby. They are buried at Rhondo cemetry in Rhondo Arkansas near Texarkana.

My grandfather was Edison Fomby. His father was the son of the founder of Fomby Ar. Edison moved to Texarkana, Ar. I never met his father and I cannot remember his name. The land in Fomby that was left from the donations to the city to build the church was left to my grandfathers two sisters.

I am looking for descendants of James R. Fomby born July 1862 in LA and Ella Elliott Delony Starks Fomby born about 1863 in AL. They were married April 9, 1895 in Little River Co., AR. James and Ella had one child (that we know of) Lalia Fomby born December 1898. Ella had been married twice before James Fomby and had these children: Corrie DeLony b. January 1882, Mozell DeLony b. September 1885, Lum Starks b. about 1889, and Claude Starks B. March 8, 1892, Adel Starks b. February 1892, Erie Starks b. September 1894. Any information would be appreciated and will share.
