Hey I do not know if you are still looking for Fontenot's in these areas but one of the best places to look is in the Ville Platte Library, as far as i know Ville Platte holds one of the hightest populations of Fontenots me being one myself. My mother is very into this and has traced the line all the way back to the first Fontenot to come directly from france and she got alot of her information from the library and ville platte is located right by chataignier and eunice. The Fontenot is a very large one and finding certain people can be very difficult and will defently take time but do not give up because you never know what you will find. My mother found one of the Fontenots in our line had signed Jim Bowie's marrige license.
