My grandmother was born (April 1914) in New York (Rochester area) and given up for adoption. Her birth parents are Alexander Foote and Elizabeth Davisson, who (as stories go) returned to Scotland without the wee one and lived their lives in the Perth area. It is unknown, but believed, that the two did marry at some point.
