Norma Jean Shores
• WILSON, [Oklahoma] -- Funeral services for Norma Jean Shores, 70, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at the First Baptist Church of Wilson with the Rev. Rodney Dutton officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shores was born June 11, 1929, at Wilson, to O.L. "Jimmy" and Dulcia E. "Dutch" Clark Forbess. She died Aug. 15, 1999, in Ardmore [OK].
Growing up in Wilson, she attended and graduated from Wilson High School on May 15, 1947. She was married to J.W. "Pee Wee" Shores on July 16, 1949 at Wilson, where they have made their home since that time. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and daughter.
She is survived by her husband, J.W. "Pee Wee," of the home; a daughter and her husband, Kathy and Buddy Vincent of Thackerville; a son and his wife, Rex and Leann Shores of The Colony, Texas; her mother, Mrs. Dulcia E. ³Dutch² Forbess of Wilson; a half brother, Preston "Bill" Forbess of Peculiar, Mo.; two grandchildren, Ashley Robin Shores of The Colony, and Jeffrey Alan and his wife, Connie, Ponder of Plano, Texas; a great-grandson, Joshua Dakota Ponder, also of Plano.
Bearers will be Mark Shores, Jim Clark, Jeff Ponder, Charlie Dutton, Robert Buckley and Mike Ogden.
