I think it is our Bess, Ron. In Omar Grant's Bible pages "Mary Lisabeth" was born Aug 26, 1872.

Mom wrote to the County Clerk of Morrow County in Mt. Gilead, Ohio in October of 1979 asking for marriage records for Omar Grant & Flora Salena (Lena) Ford, John Rathburn & Celia E. Ford, and Daniel J Monroe & Mary Elizabeth (Bess) Ford. The researcher found "no records" of the Grant or Rathburn marriages, but Mom penciled in down below:
"Monroe
License 30 Nov 1898
Marriage 1 Dec 1898"
In other words, Mom knew Mary Lisabeth was called Bess.

Morrica Chambers tells us that Mary Elizabeth died "Aft 1848"

The positive experiences with Find-A-Grave also led me on a new search. I have suspected for years that my Grandfather Peterson's siblings who died in childhood were buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Bklyn, New York. Previous online checks were unfruitful, but in 2010 a Find-A-Grave volunteer located and documented the graves. Though there are no pictures of the stones, I now know where Axel (3), Gertrude (6 mos), and Elsa (2) Peterson are buried.
